Lying between the towns of Abingdon, Didcot and Wantage, the small village of Steventon boasts one of
Oxfordshire’s finest Indian restaurants, the Blue Ginger.
Customers come both from the surrounding area and further afield, and many are frequent visitors to the
restaurant; during the evenings Blue Ginger bustles with diners. We been
trading for ten years. The interior is airy and modern, set off by sparkly blue lights. We insist on personal and professional service, and
our staff are extremely friendly and efficient, without being overbearing. All dishes are freshly prepared,
and our staff will always provide you with a recommendation to help you make your decision.
The main menu is divided into korai dishes
(a delicacy from Northern India), tandoori, Balti, seafood, traditional delicacies, thalis, biryanis
and Blue Ginger specialities. One of the special dishes, Shajan chicken, is cooked with minced
meat and chicken Hariyali. This is a very popular dish consisting of succulent chicken pieces cooked with
spinach, chilli and green pepper. It is a hot, but not overpowering, and wonderfully flavoured.
Meals are cooked with great care and presented to the highest standards.
We take pride in serving you quality food. We make sure you have a great experience in our restaurant
- having delicious, mouth-watering dishes coupled with great hospitality in a fantastic ambience. We
are sure you will cherish the "Blue Ginger" experience forever.
